A great day of fun for all! 

Melanie’s Ride for Hope is a fun day of bicycle riding and activities for all ages and abilities. The Saturday festivities will take place in the beautiful Northeast Park (on High Rock Road in north east Guilford County, NC). All proceeds will benefit Cone Health Cancer Center – specifically for patients battling gynecological cancers.

Highlights include:
•  Fully supported road rides for cycling enthusiasts ranging from 10, 19, 36, 48, and 69 miles
•  Maps & cue sheets, marked course, rest stops and SAG wagon.
•  Great lunch and refreshing drinks after your ride.
•  Door prizes!
•  Mountain bike riding on the trials in Northeast Park.
•  Fun for the kids like:
      - Ride-the-loop family fun around the park (.8 mile)
      - Toddlers' Parade w/Big Wheels or Training Wheels.
      - Kids’ inflatable moonwalk bounce station.
• Great fun with old and new friends

   Every things starts & ends in Shelter #2, in Guilford county's NE Park, a great community gathering spot, just north Gibsonville, with the meandering Reedy Fork Creek winding through its 374 wooded acres. 
   Road riders will leave the park and ride along marked routes of varying distances, visit rest stops equipped with food and drink, all the while supported by "sag wagons" to help out those who might want it.
   To get to the park using your GPS, use 
 "4010 High Rock Road, Gibsonville, NC"


Kids can play in the inflatable bouncy "moonwalk"

7:30 AM Sign in & day-of-event registration opens
9 AM 48 & 68 mile riders depart
9:10 AM 19 and 36 mile riders off
10:30 AM "Toddlers Parade" for bikes, trikes, training wheels or wagons!
10:45 AM Kids "Ride-the-loop" 
11 AM ~ 3 PM Lunch is served
 2 PM All riders expected in.
 3 PM Event support ends



       Open to any and all bicyclists and families who want to join in a great day of community fun while helping raise money for women battling gynecologic cancers.
      - Road rides are designed for all levels, from beginners to high performance speedsters.
      - Mountain bikers can enjoy exploring the park's great trails.
      - Kids and their families can have a great time with the Ride-The-Loop, Toddler's Parade and the Bouncy Moonwalk!



Melanie Payne was a  Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at Cone Health Women's Hospital who gave care, comfort and medical support to many patients.   This ride is honoring Melanie's memory and good deeds in life, and is an effort to alert other women about the need for medical vigilance against this terrible disease.
